the foundation to better learning
As you may already be aware, the Education Bureau and the Centre for Health have released a statement regarding an early start to the Chinese New Year holiday for kindergarten and day-care centres in order to help tackle the current flu situation.
Our centres will remain open and classes will continue as scheduled. As the health of our students and parents are of the utmost importance, please use your discretion if you wish to attend classes during this time or stay home. For those of you that wish to attend, as a safety precaution, we will be implementing a heightened cleaning and hygiene protocol to ensure the health and safety of our students. This includes greater access to hand sanitizer, ample supply of face masks for children and adults, and more stringent criteria for requesting students who show signs of illness to return home to rest. We will continue to have temperature checks for both parents and students before entering into the classroom. If you or your child are experiencing cough, fever, or other flu-like symptoms please rest at home and seek medical attention as needed.
We understand that with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations and the ongoing flu season, rearranging classes will likely be a challenge for many families. With that in mind, for those of you who wish to keep your child home, we will extend the period for taking make-up classes until 21st March. As usual, please notify us of your child’s absence before the start of class and arrange a make-up class with our team.
An additional reminder, our centres will be closed from Sunday 3rd February to Saturday 9th February for the Chinese New Year holiday.
Thank you for your cooperation and we wish you and your family great health
and prosperity in the coming year.
